I love making easy fruit desserts, and the plus is that you can eat dessert after every dinner.

Every fall I make applesauce. I bought several kilos of apples for ,95 per kilo.

Homemade applesauce is easy to make. I leave the skins on to give it a homemade texture. Chop the apples into a heavy pot, splash with water and boil covered until very, very soft. Then add cinnamon and the juice of a half lemon and puree the whole thing with an immersion blender. Voila!

It is great topped with fresh whipped cream.
